The aim of this research project is the substitution of fillers and mineral fibers, now used in automobile components realized with organic matrix, with natural fibers.
This substitution will allow us to reach the production of parts which can be entirely recycled. In addition to the weight decrease that can be reached, due to the reduced density of the natural fibers , it will enable to decrease the car gaz emission.
The project is organized with the aim of developping new materials, fillers and processes that will lead to the aplication of new environmental friendly technologies. The expexted results will be relative to this new composite system based on thermoplastics and thermosettings reinforced with natural fibers, which application and adaptability will be demonstrated through the production of prototypes.
