STM participated at the final validation of the heat shield of the ESA’s Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle, IXV. The vehicle is slated to launch on a Vega rocket in early November to flight-test the technologies and critical systems for Europe’s future automated re-entry vehicles returning from low orbit.
